Temasek Polytechnic – TP Tampines was established on April 6, 1990. Temasek Polytechnic – TP Tampines is the third polytechnic to be set up in Singapore. It has a 30-hectare campus, which is equivalent to 33 international-size football fields. Located in the east of Singapore, overlooking the scenic Bedok Reservoir, Temasek Polytechnic – TP Tampines campus places particular emphasis on the preservation of the natural environmental heritage.
Temasek Polytechnic – TP Tampines has approximately 15,000 full-time students and more than 1,200 academic staff. To prepare school-leavers and working adults for a future of dynamic change, with relevant knowledge, life-long skills, character, and a thirst for continuous improvement. Temasek Polytechnic – TP Tampines has seven academic schools, including the Tourism Academy located in Sentosa. Temasek Polytechnic – TP Tampines Library provides a wide range of information resources, services and ultra-modern facilities to support the teaching, learning and research needs of the TP community. Within the eleven storey building of Temasek Polytechnic – TP Tampines , you will find: an extensive collection of books, journals and multimedia and audio-visual resources. a Lifestyle floor comprising newspapers, selected magazines, books on self-help, sports, health and nutrition, humour as well as fiction, cable TV for sport and world news, and sound domes for easy music listening, study rooms and project rooms, AV viewing carrels, Internet PCs with MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint pre-installed. Printers are linked to the PCs for the users' convenience. Users may also connect their notebooks to free-access LAN points. There is also at least one Access Point (wireless base station) on every floor in the Temasek Polytechnic – TP Tampines Library building. 10 food outlets on campus, comprising seven food courts (one fully air-conditioned), two cafés and one restaurant, serve our students and staff.

Temasek Polytechnic – TP Tampines Arts Centre houses more than 10 studios for the various Arts Groups to rehearse in. These studios include: ARTSpace (rehearsal/meeting/exhibition space), Multi-purpose studios (including two with mirrors, two with upright pianos and one with grand piano), Classical guitar studio, Jamming studio, Band studio, Chinese orchestra studio, Dance studios. The academic schools in Temasek Polytechnic – TP Tampines offer a broad spectrum of 52 full-time diploma courses to suit different interests and aptitudes. Our courses emphasise the development of problem-solving and thinking skills, as well as communication and teamwork abilities.
