Sushree Institute of Technical Education – SITE Balangir was established in the Millennium year i.e. 2000 by RYS - an established Social Organization working for the downtrodden of this backward area.
Ramjee yubak Shangha is a leading voluntary organization (Society) initiated in the year 1967 by some of the like minded people. In order to organize the existing youth power & engage them in social welfare activities, later on during the year 1974, it was registered under the society registration Act XXI of 1860 bearing Registration No.8225/578 of 1974 -75. The society has also been registered u /s 12A, 80G and 10(23C) VI of the IT Act
After the successful implementation of Sushree Institute of Technical Education – SITE Balangir , the Sangha decided to open one School of Nursing i.e. the “Diploma Course of Nursing” and “ A College of Nursing”. The Diploma Course in Nursing is called “General Nursing &Midwifery” (GNM) and the Degree Course in Nursing is called B.Se. Nursing. All the institutes have been certified by ISO 9001 : 2000.
The Sushree Institute of Technical Education – SITE Balangir is running in its own campus & building. About 20.31 acres of land is available. 3 nos of computer labs are present with 80 nos of computers. Internet service has been provided to the students through high speed broadband service. Hostel 2 Nos of boys hostel & 2 nos of girls hostel are present having capacity of 260 & 120 respectively. Hostels are situated in a walk able distance to the Sushree Institute of Technical Education – SITE Balangir . 2 nos of bus are available for industrial visit & study tour. Canteen is Available inside the campus for students & staff. A vast play ground is available inside the campus for outdoor games of students.
The sangha is mainly working in the field of socio-economic development of the weaker section of the people, Community Development Programme, Health Programme, Personal Hygiene, First Aid, Women & Child Development Programme, National Child Labor Programme, Nursery and Plantation on General Species & Medicinal Plants, Income Generating Programme. Along with the aforesaid activities, the Sangha has undertaken the certificate courses to create technical man power who will be an asset for the socio-economic development of the area. From the year 2000-01 RYS is running one of the well-known technical institution called Sushree Institute of Technical Education – SITE Balangir . The institution is approved by AICTE and recognized by the Department of Industry and the Directorate of Technical Education of Government of Orissa. The SITE has gained long experience in campus education in technical area and follows all necessary norms and conditions laid by the AICTE and the State Government.
Entrepreneurship development programs are undergone here through Sushree Institute of Technical Education – SITE Balangir placement cell twice a year. Entrepreneurs from different industries share their experience & views in the programme. A senior division NCC battalion of 50 cadets is functioning in the institution. After completion of course students are awarded with “B” & “C” certificates.
Sushree Institute of Technical Education – SITE Balangir Sport is Functioning to promote players of rural areas in different games & sport. All India football tournament is organized by the society every year. Annual athletic meet, Inter college volley tournament Badminton tournament are also conducted.
Sushree Institute of Technical Education – SITE Balangir cultural society is formed to organize different Cultural activities in the Institutions. State level drama competition is organized every year. Inter college quiz competitions, debate Competition & song competition are also conducted by the society.
