One of the famous Industrialist of Aligarh District, Late Seth Tika Ram Ji offered a permanent security to the Hindu Girls Education Society on 11 Dec. 1935 for the foundation of Tika Ram Kanya Vidyalaya, Aligarh. It took its birth as a middle school on Ist July 1936 and Soon it developed as a High School and in July 1944 as on Intermediate School, which is running as Tika Ram Kanya Inter College, Ram Ghat Road Aligarh.
Tika Ram Kanya Mahavidyalaya College – Aligarh got its recognition of degree classes from Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra (Formerly Agra university, Agra) in July 1957, when Agra university allowed recognition the B.A. Classes to the college, it was extreme essential to see increasing demand of Higher Education for the Girls in the District. The highest inspiration of this scheme was really developed by Late Dr. Zakir Hussain (Former V.C. of A.M.U. and President of India). It was feeling on the need of Higher Education in Science after the foundation of Aligarh Medical College, and in July 1963 Agra University allowed permission to move the classes of Zoology, Botany and Chemistry in B.Sc. and in July 1971 B.Ed. Classes was started. Thus Tika Ram Kanya Mahavidyalaya College – Aligarh adopted the form of only post graduate girls college in Aligarh. To day it is one of the leading Girls P.G. College of Uttar Pradesh with a well furnished, safe and comfortable big Girls Hostel in side the college campus inaugurated by first Prime minister of India Late Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru in 1964.
