Haribhai V Desai College of Arts Science and Commerce - Pune is an institution of The Poona Gujarati Kelavani Mandal of Pune. The parent institution is an educational and charitable institution established in 1928, with the aim of providing education through the medium of mother tongue to the Gujarati students residing in Pune.
The Mandal of Haribhai V Desai College of Arts Science and Commerce - Pune started its school in 1936 and developed into primary and secondary school. It was in the seventies that the Mandal began its expansion into a complete educational complex, starting with the establishment of the D.B. Dadawala Junior college in 1975, Haribhai V Desai College of Arts Science and Commerce - Pune in 1984, and the expansion of this college into a P.G. Center for Commerce in 1992, and the commencement of the Arts and Science faculty for UG in 1993. Today the Mandal views itself as a complete education center “from KG to PG” with the allied institutes for English medium School, Gujrati School, Technical and Vocational Training School.
