Pratap College – Amalner was founded in 1945 by Shri. Pratap Shethji, a renowned doner of Khandesh, Maharashtra with the expressed intention of the empowerment of mofussil students through a value-based holistic education. The College is blessed with a visionary leadership of the Management, qualified and dedicated staff. College offers different kind of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Pratap College – Amalner is situated at Post Box No. 28, Amalner, Dist. Jalgaon, Maharashtra. Late Shri. Ravaji Khanderao Bangali had donated his Agricultural land to the Khandesh Education Society for the Construction of college. Because of his generous and whole hearted support to the college the Management of K.E. Society had decided to entitled Pratap College – Amalner library as R. K. Bangali Library to keep his memories alive. Spacious and well equiped Reading Room is made available for both Boy's and Girl's seperately it is kept opened from 7.30am To 11.00 pm on working days and 7.30 am To 5.30 pm on holidays.
Since its establishment Pratap College – Amalner is known for residential college in Maharashtra. It has magnificant and well facilated buildings with accomadation for nearly 800 students.(Boys & Girls). It is run by Khandesh Education Society under the Control of the Principal of Pratap College. The goal of N.S.S. is education through Community Service. The purpose is to enrich the student’s personality & deepen his understanding of the social environment in which he lives. It should help students to develop an awareness and knowledge of social reality to have concern for the wealth being of the community to undertake appropriate activities design to tackle social problems to promote welfare. The objective of NSS therefore. “Development of the personality of the students through Community Service.”
Pratap College – Amalner has a special center for career guidance for students since 1998-99. It has also set up a special library well stocked with books worth more than Rs.2.5 lacs on almost all the competitive exam. (Type A, B and C) and all other career opportunities available. The center has actively pursued the objective of development of students. There are more than a hundred students enrolled for career guidance in each academic year.
Pratap College – Amalner set out to create a special career counseling cell for providing coaching facilities and reading facilities for students so that they would be prepared to face competitive exams and other challenges for getting jobs in various fields.The college feels confident that if the career counseling cell continues to develop and to receive financial support from the U.G.C., Many students from our cell will gain entry into various services in near future. Many will certainly pass competitive examinations.
