Prof Dr ND Patil Mahavidyalaya – Malkapur was established in 1992 by Rayat Shikshan Sanstha Satara, the biggest educational conglomerate in Asia , in order to cater the needs of higher education to the students in the remote and hilly region. The college provides degree level education in the faculties of Arts, Commerce, Science and Computer Application as well as post- graduation in the subject of Hindi, besides a host of short- term courses. In keeping with the Sanstha’s avowed principle the college has introduced “Earn & Learn” scheme for the poor students. Our chief thrust being on multi-faced development of students’ personalities, we dedicate all our efforts for the same.

The College with its own imposing building has a beautiful ambience since it is surrounded by idyllic rangers of Sahyadri & Kadvi river. The goal of our management to provide education to the downtrodden masses & pupils from remote & underdeveloped areas.
The library plays a central role in helping college achieve its mission of providing students a quality education. Beyond its immediate responsibility to provide the information services and resources that support the courses of study offered at the college, the library has the broader mission of fostering in our students the importance and necessity of lifelong learning. Prof Dr ND Patil Mahavidyalaya – Malkapur library adequately equipped with 6979 books covering wide range of disciplines of academic and non-academic interest. The college also subscribes for international and national journals, periodicals and newspapers for the students and faculty members at the college library. College has Botanical Garden and Horticultural garden.
Prof Dr ND Patil Mahavidyalaya – Malkapur organizes cultural activities in the name of “Avishkar“ to give scope and the training to the students regarding ,music ,drama and fine arts. College provides career guidance for the students and organizes campus interviews in collaboration with different companies. The college runs competitive examination guidance centre.
