R C Patel Institute of Technology – RCPIT Shirpur was set up as a part of the self powered plans of Shirpur Education Society in 2001 with the objective to erect a truly world class institute in the rural part where students from the vicinity would be benefited from the services that matched global standards. R C Patel Institute of Technology – RCPIT Shirpur was conceived by Hon. Shri. Amrishbhai R. Patel, former cabinet minister for School Education, sports and youth welfare for Maharashtra State. R C Patel Institute of Technology – RCPIT Shirpur has grown at a remarkable pace and has gone on to become an institute of repute within the country. It is spread over 36.6 acres of lush green land providing an ambience congenial to the pursuit of high quality technical education. Every single detail of the institute has been implemented at par with global standards in accordance to the norms of AICTE, New Delhi. Dhule (M.S.).College is approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and is affiliated to the North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon (accredited 4-star status by NAAC,Bangalore). R C Patel Institute of Technology – RCPIT Shirpur has been accorded a status of Minority (Gujrathi Linguistic) by the Government of Maharashtra. RCPIT presently offers courses in disciplines that are oriented to modern industrial needs. And each of the course modules encompasses a host of subjects pertinent to the respective fields. College offers different kind of Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in engineering.
Care and comfort of students is uppermost in R C Patel Institute of Technology – RCPIT Shirpur agenda, accordingly the institute has left no stone unturned in providing the same to the students.There are two hostels for boys and three hostels for girls of a capacity 200 each. R C Patel Institute of Technology – RCPIT Shirpur hostels are situated within the Institute campus. The hostels will be shortly provided with Internet connection through the optic fiber network. The hostel mess with a large seating capacity caters nutritious and delicious fare at very reasonable rates. Keeping in mind 'your health is our wealth', a modern health and entertainment club is made available to the students. It comprises of mini theatre, coffee shop, party lawn, gym equipments, steam bath, sauna bath, swimming pool, yoga room and indoor games etc. Students can avail this facility for a very nominal fee.
Library is the place where ideas generate and vision broadens. R C Patel Institute of Technology – RCPIT Shirpur has provision to include mandatory library hours in the time table so that students spend quality time in the company of books and recent technical journals. College central library covers a ground area of about 612 sq. mtr. with a seating capacity of 200. The interior of the library is well furnished with ergonomically designed seating arrangements. The library is divided into; 170 sq mtr. reading zone , 325 sq. mtr. Stacking area and 117 sq. mtr. issuing area. The library is self sufficient to a large extent and covers the courses offered by the institute. Students can also access journals and magazine through the magazine zone avaiLable in the library.
R C Patel Institute of Technology – RCPIT Shirpur library is automated with SLIM software and will be connected to the main server to the hostel via WiMax network so that students can access OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) through the hostel terminals. Reprographic facility is also made available to the students and faculty members. Digitalization of the library is in the pipeline. The library remains open for the entire duration of the college timings and provision is also made for 24 hrs access during University Examinations. The Library is self-sufficient with all the academic requirements and has a sound collection of National/International Journals, Books, Educational CDs and CBTs.
The strength of R C Patel Institute of Technology – RCPIT Shirpur lies in its state-of-the-art laboratories designed well in accordance with the AICTE norms. There are in all 28 laboratories including a workshop with the latest instruments and machines. R C Patel Institute of Technology – RCPIT Shirpur modern computer center occupying an area of 300 sq. mtr serves as a central facility for all departments. The centre comprises of a server room having state of the art IBM Servers for Database Server, Web Server, Linux Server, and Domain Server. All the terminals are provided with Internet connectivity with Broadband Line of bandwidth of 2 Mbps. All the legal Softwares like Windows 98/2000/XP, Windows 2000 server, Windows 2003 server, SQL Server, Visual Studio 6.0.NET.,ORACLE 9i , Rational Rose etc.The Center is also well equipped with visual aids like LCD Projector, OHP, Laser, Colour Inkjet Printers, Scanner, CD / DVD Writer, Digital Web Camera etc.

The auditorium supports a very powerful audio system, LCD projector and comfortable seating arrangement. There is a sound collection of CDs, DVDs and CBTs.
