Sree Ramu College of Arts and Science - Coimbatore was started in the year 1996 by Shri. S. Ramasamy Reddiar. It is a co-educational institution run by the RVS Trust. With 33 years of educational experience, the Trust lays emphasis on the all round development of the students. It aims to make the students as successful individuals and equip them to meet the challenges of the present information age. The College is situated on Pollachi – Valparaiso Main Road falling at N.M. Sungam about 30 km away from Coimbatore city. Sree Ramu College of Arts and Science - Coimbatore is affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore and recognized by UGC, New Delhi under 2(F). Our College is one of the best self financing colleges in this area. The college is accredited by NAAC and an ISO 9001-2008 Certified Institution. It offers seven UG courses, three PG courses, two Research programmes and certificate courses. At present the college has around 1000 students.

Sree Ramu College of Arts and Science - Coimbatore is located at Valparai Main Road, Vedasenthur, Pollachi, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. Our Library was started with 200 volumes of subject books. It was shifted to the new building named Kaviarasar Kannadhasan Memorial Information Centre. It covers an area of 1870 sq.ft with fully ventilated, stack and reading rooms. Sree Ramu College of Arts and Science - Coimbatore Library provides numerous reference materials to the students of all disciplines. Apart from dailies, several journals and magazines are subscribed. More than 7000 books are available for reference. For every twenty five students, a mentor is made in charge to closely monitor their academic and non-academic activities. This system helps to establish a good rapport between teachers and students and assist the students to overcome their learning problems.
Sree Ramu College of Arts and Science - Coimbatore takes all steps for the speedy receipt of all government scholarships to the students, especially the SC/ST students. The RVS Trust which runs the college provides scholarships up to 50% to the following:- Meritorious students, physically challenged, refugees, economically poor, sports persons, District level, State level and University level. OMANDUR P.RAMASAMY REDDIAR AUDITORIUM is located inside the campus. All functions, guest lecturers / seminars / conferences / symposiums are conducted in the auditorium.
Sree Ramu College of Arts and Science - Coimbatore is sufficiently equipped with 150 computers with adequate connected facilities. They are networked with high speed LAN, all original licensed software and broadband internet facility. Windows 2000 Server, Windows NT Server is the backbone of our Computer Lab. Fluency in English is not only a hallmark of a sophisticated educated person but also among excellent credentials as far as procuring a decent employment is concerned. Keeping this in view, the language department has a fully equipped lab, which provides ample linguistic training and exercises. Additionally, this lab trains students in group discussion, personality development and the like.
Dr. Muthulakshmi Reddy Hostel Building is located inside Sree Ramu College of Arts and Science - Coimbatore campus. Students from Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu are accommodating here. Prayers are held in morning and evening to help the students to relax mentally and physically. Hostel life in SRC is a home away from home for all students. Excellent transport facility is available from Pollachi, Annaimalai and Udumalpet to our college during the working days. Separate bus facility is provided for foreign students at weekends.
Sree Ramu College of Arts and Science - Coimbatore is very keen in developing sports and games and provide facilities to play Cricket, Kabadi, Volleyball, ball badminton, shuttle, basket ball and Kho-Kho, by providing separate play ground for each game. Facilities for playing indoor games like chess, carom and table tennis are also available in our campus. Our college NCC wing is affiliated to 6TN MED.COY.NCC, 112-A, ATT Colony Coimbatore. The wing was inaugurated by Col.P.P.Sing VSM. Our NCC wings conduct parade twice a week. The parade is conducted between 3.30 and 6.00pm.
The NSS units of Sree Ramu College of Arts and Science - Coimbatore college are very proactive and dynamic. There are three units comprising 300 students. The volunteers involve themselves in the activities like blood donating, tree plantation, eye care camps and campus cleaning. Our volunteers visit the neighboring villages regularly and render social service. In addition to this they offer their services during festivals in and around the town and in various temples and extend a helping hand to the police in regulating traffic, crowd management and the like. Our college NSS has adopted a village and a higher secondary school. Sree Ramu College of Arts and Science - Coimbatore provides Bachelor Degree and Master Degree to the students.
