Govt Raza Post Graduate College – Rampur came into existence on 16th July 1949 at the state expense and maiden academic session started on 2nd September 1949. The Postgraduate classes started here during 1968-1969. The college, is recognized under section 2(f) and 12(B) of U. G. C. Govt Raza P. G. College, Rampur celebrated its historic Golden Jubilee with great pomp and show at the onset of the new millennium. Many illustrious Alumniae and distinguished guests travelled from every nook and corner of the globe to attend this mega event of the college history. Govt Raza Post Graduate College – Rampur is located at Khusro Bagh, Rampur (U.P. Govt Raza Post Graduate College has the pride to become the first Govt. College in U. P. to be accredited (B+ grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council. B. Ed. Department was given B grade. IGNOU regular study centre became operational in the college in July 2007 and offered various courses. The regular study centre of IGNOU offering various professional courses became operational in July 2007.
