Rathinavel Subramaniam College of Engineering and Technology - RVS College of Engineering and Technology Dindigul, is one of the earliest self-financing, non-minority colleges in Tamilnadu founded by the RVSET in 1985. College is situated 8 Kms from Dindigul town on the Karur road via Gijiliamparai. The College is ISO 9001:2000 certified institution. 7 UG Courses and 2 PG Courses are already accreditated by the National Board of Accreditation, a wing of AICTE, New Delhi, 2 UG Courses and 1 PG Course have been awarded permanent affiliation by Anna University.
The motto of the Rathinavel Subramaniam College of Engineering and Technology - RVS College of Engineering and Technology Dindigul trust is “RURAL UPLIFTMENT THROUGH VALUE BASED EDUCATION”. In order to achieve this, RVSCET first started RVS Polytechnic College at Dindigul in the year 1984, Matriculation school at Sulur and RVS College of Engineering and Technology at Dindigul in 1985, RVS Arts and Science College at Sulur in 1986, Matriculation School at Chennai and ITI at Sulur in 1990, Ayurveda College and Nursing College at Sulur, and Women college at Chennai in 1993, Ayurveda College at Chennai and RVS Physiotherapy College at Sulur in 1999, Homeopathy College at Sulur and Matriculation school at Tenkasi in 2000, Arts and Science college at Pondicherry in 2004 and Teachers Training College in Pondicherry in 2005. In addition to these educational institutions, the trust has established RVS multi-specialty hospital at Sulur in 2004.

The paramount objective of the Rathinavel Subramaniam College of Engineering and Technology - RVS College of Engineering and Technology Dindigul is to provide practical training, improve analytical power, reasoning abilities and technical dexterity. The institution is committed to uphold standards of academic distinction. College library has a collection of about 43,232 volumes and 20,896 titles.Besides numerous video and audio cassettes on various subjects, It subscribes for 51 Indian journals, 48 Indian magazines and 44 international journals and magazines. A book bank which caters exclusively to the requirements of SC/ST students is attached to the library .The library work is computerized.

With the conviction that the students’ residential atmosphere should be conducive for study and development of their personality and physical traits, management has provided hostel facilities for both boys and girls.
The boys are accommodated in six blocks of buildings adjacent to the Rathinavel Subramaniam College of Engineering and Technology - RVS College of Engineering and Technology Dindigul and the girl students are provided with a separate hostel, which is kept under continuous vigil by a tight security system. Good quality food is provided to the students at a reasonable cost. We have a fully automatic Domestic Mineral Water Plant that provides hygienic drinking water for the students.
