Rani Jhansi Laxmi Bai Government Polytechnic - Loharu is one of the premiers Technical Institute in Haryana. The Institute is situated at a distance of 62Km. from Bhiwani & 20Km. from Pilani (Raj.) on the Delhi Pilani State Highway. The foundation of Rani Jhansi Laxmi Bai Government Polytechnic - Loharu was laid in 1998 by Chowdhary Bansi Lal the Chief Minister of Haryana. The institute started functioning with workshop block and staff residence. In aug. 2001 the Institute was inaugurated by Chowdhary OM Parkash Chotala. Rani Jhansi Laxmi Bai Government Polytechnic - Loharu is spread over on 31 Acre of lush green land. It is well connected by trains to Rewari, Delhi, and Jaipur & Buses.
The staff of Rani Jhansi Laxmi Bai Government Polytechnic - Loharu in Applied Science Department imparts instructions in the subjects of communication skills, mathematics, physics and chemistry to the students of various disciplines for the first two semesters. The Department looks after the interests of the students completely in the first year of their studies. It takes keen interest in developing their communication skills. Since 2004-2005 Rani Jhansi Laxmi Bai Government Polytechnic - Loharu started Diploma of Electrical Engineering & the student of second year are the first batch for Electrical Engineering at present only first semester classes are going on. So establishing Labs for course of Electrical Engineering will take place in due course of time with taking over of new building. College provides Diploma program to the college students.

A documentation centre with the facility of photocopying, comb binding, lamination, printing etc. for the students and the staff is functional in the institute itself. A fully AC conference room for interaction with 30 persons has also been very well renovated with all the latest audio-visual facility in the administrative cum teaching block of the institute.
Rani Jhansi Laxmi Bai Government Polytechnic - Loharu provides Community Development cell facility. In this cell, centre for Community Development & Technology transfer is being established. This scheme is funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development Government of India. The main aim of this cell is to improve productivity, upgrading existing skills, improving employability of rural youth and other weaker section of society through competency based on non-formal training and improving the quality of life by introducing appropriate technologies.
