Smt Velagapudi Durgamba Siddhartha Law College - Vijayawada was established in the year 1987. The Bar Council of India in their report dt.14.11.1998 observed that the College is ‘A MODEL LAW COLLEGE’ in the State.
Smt Velagapudi Durgamba Siddhartha Law College - Vijayawada has an imposing building with a plinth area 25,000 sq.ft on a sprawling campus of 10.8 acres of land. The Building of the College has all the facilities such as six lecture halls, a Moot-court Hall, a big Seminar Hall, two staff rooms, ladies waiting hall, Library-cum-Reading Room, Principal and Management Rooms. There are seven full time lecturers, besides Principal, Librarian and Physical Director & Part-time Lecturer. There are also four clerical and six Class-IV.

Lakshminath, Dr.B.R.Ambedkar College of Law, Andhra University among other dignitaries had attended Seminars organised by the College.
