People's Education Society which conducts Siddarth College of Law – Mumbai was formed on 8th July, 1945 by Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar who was a pioneer in the making of the Constitution of India. Siddarth College of Law – Mumbai endeavour to inculcate this vision with a view to spread legal education to all sections of people particularly amongst the poor and the middle class. Siddarth College of Law – Mumbai is an institution where the ideals of scholarly excellence, human dignity, compassion and innovative leadership are valued and encouraged.
The aim of
Siddarth College of Law – Mumbai education programme is to create a diverse and talented poll of students equipped with adequate legal knowledge to meet the challenges of future and to be worthy professionals.We believe in what Martin Luther King, Jr. has said, “The Ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” The ideals propagated by Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and Martin Luther King Jr. are all encompassing and relevant for all the time. The society is inspired by five great ideals, viz. the ideals of knowledge, the ideals of compassion, the ideal of democracy, the ideal of equality and the ideal of justice.
Siddarth College of Law – Mumbai was founded by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar with the avowed purpose of providing educational facilities to the underprivileged members of the great Indian Community and thereby promoting their social and economic upliftment. Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar was sterling patriot, a crusader against social inequalities, and by concentrating on the intellectual and social development of the community, he was engaged in the task of national reconstruction of the highest magnitudes . People’s Education Society is the only Institution in this country which has been securing the cause of masses at large and of the weaker sections of the Society on the impressive scale. In view of this Social workers and political leaders of our country should start such institutions to dispel the Centuries old darkness, superstitions and ignorance in which the great majority of our people were compelled to live.
Siddarth College of Law – Mumbai library is a beautiful and modern library well updated books, journals & multimedia learning aids, provides the student and opportunities to keep themselves well versed with related information. A library well stocked with all the necessary volumes is available at the student's disposal. It is the synthesis of theories with working knowledge, together avenues to exploit all the available resources; we can mould our students into thorough professionals, who would become the leaders of their profession.
Cafeteria facility at Siddarth College of Law – Mumbai an exclusive canteen is available in the campus offering tasty and hygienic food. In order to cater to all the students from different parts of India and aboard, South India, North Indian and Chinese dishes are offered. A modern departmental store is also functioning inside the campus for the benefit of students. Besides, a Suggestion Box is kept at a prominent place for the students to address their concern.
